Appeals Court Gives the Ok to Withhold Funds From Sanctuary Cities

The fight over illegal immigration just got a huge push by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. They have sided with the president and agree that he can rightly withhold any funding from cities that are choosing to not cooperate with ICE or any other federal immigration office. Over the past several years more sanctuary cities and regions have popped up within full defiance against the federal government.

The motive behind these actions is simply because they do not like the Republican president. The sickening Democrats have decided that it is in their best interests to resist the sitting authority rather than cooperate. In effect, they have sided with an invading force that wants to harm America from the inside out. This makes the Democrats an enemy of the United States.

The Appeals Court overturned the lower court’s attempt to force the White House to pay up the money that is usually provided for states to enforce laws and other rules. But their refusal to participate in keeping the country safe from illegals is going to hurt their bottom line. The ruling by the Appeals Court is a major victory for President Trump.

ICE is the agency that these cities are standing against. The Democrats that are destroying these beautiful regions have ordered that law enforcement is not allowed to cooperate in any way ICE. They cannot provide any information or details on where to find the illegal alien. To do so will bring the fury of the local laws down upon the person. The funds that are being withheld are usually are used for law enforcement activities to keep these areas safe. But the White House will no longer fund areas that are fighting against their people.

The lower court was certainly a liberal backed court with a political agenda to hide. But the Appeals Court ruled by law this time. They stated that there are consequences for actions that oppose the leadership of the White House. It all boils down to the fact that the Democrats do not want to submit to a Republican. If it was another Democrat cracking down on the illegals, then there would no such thing as a sanctuary city.

These cities have been fighting for over three years. They have refused to allow ICE to come into the jail cells and take the illegal with the purpose of sending them to their home country. The sanctuary cities would rather release the criminal back into the public rather than allow them to be deported. Every illegal criminal that is released ends up committing more crime and harm against society. In the end, the legal citizens end up paying for the selfish actions of the Democrats.

The ruling by the court will affect New York City and at least seven other states. These are regions that have moved to defy the Federal Government. The states of Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Washington, Massachusetts, Virginia and now Rhode Island all have other issues because the Democrats are destroying the states. Many of the Democrats in these areas have even started to enact illegal policies on the people because they are trying to turn the states into socialist regions.

The Department of Justice stated that “Today’s decision rightfully recognizes the lawful authority of the Attorney General to ensure that the Department of Justice grant recipients are not at the same time thwarting federal law enforcement priorities. The grant conditions here require states and cities that receive DOJ grants to share information about criminals in custody.” It is time for these states to start sharing information about the people that they have in their custody with other agencies.

The Department of Justice also mentioned that “While today’s ruling is a major victory for Americans, its full scope will not be realized until the practices of granting nationwide injunctions and associational injunctions are stopped, as certain cities that are parties to this judgment may nonetheless use rulings from other courts to evade these lawful conditions.” They are correct. The Democrats need to join forces with the rest of the country and protect the United States from those that seek to undermine it.
