CNNâs Brian Stelter took it upon himself to be a beacon for morality when he lit into Washington Examiner Chief Congressional Correspondent Susan Ferrechio for calling out mainstream media outlets, such as Stelter’s, for their âethicsâ in reporting on the supposed connection between President Donald Trump and Russia in the form of collusion.
The stories which played almost around the clock on major networks such as CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and NBC have since been debunked as no more than conspiracy theories, and some of the anchors that peddled them have had their credibility severely damaged.
According to the Daily Wire, Ferrechio was making the point that the mainstream networks seem to have suddenly been struck with âmedia ethicsâ when it comes to verifying accusations made against those in power, since evidence has come to light that paints Democrat nominee Joe Biden.
Biden and his family have been the subject of many news stories since it was discovered that a laptop, verified by multiple United States intelligence agencies as containing information not provided by Russians, pointed to Hunter Biden bringing Russians, Chinese, and other international businesses into business dealings with himself and his father, profiting heavily on his connection to the White House.
Stelter, however, breezed past the potentially earth-shattering news about the Biden family and railed against social media platforms for not censoring conservatives more than they already are. This diatribe seemed ill-timed, considering that The New York Postâs original articles were almost entirely shut down by major social platforms, and their account has been suspended by Twitter, thanks to reporting on the anti-Democrat Party story.
However, according to Stelter, conservatives are likely censored from social media and Google because of âasymmetric nastinessâ and insinuated that Team Biden has done nothing but run] a clean campaign devoid of lies and half-truths, while Trumpâs campaign has been intentionally misinforming voters.
Stelter said he believes conservatives are being censored because there is âmore (bulls***) being spread by the Right. Itâs sad, hopefully, itâll stop, but right now itâs true.â Ferrechio wasnât ready to let that statement go, however.
âThis is not last yearâs news,â she retorted at the CNN host. âItâs whether or not his son was coordinating to get him to talk to these Ukrainian oligarchs, and he was benefiting from it. Itâs really dirty, and it needs to be looked at.â
Stelter, however, claims that ânewsrooms in America are very careful about this stuff,â and have to work slowly and cautiously when vetting the news they put out.
âI think bottom line is we donât know what is real and what is fake in these emails, if there is anything real in them,â Stelter said.
âYeah, but that didnât stop [anyone] from reporting the Mueller and the dossier and all that stuff,â Ferrechio shot back.
âI know youâre bitter. I understand that you have a lot of resentment about that,â Stelter dismissed Ferrechio.
âNow we have ethics,â Ferrechio mocked.
âDonât you dare,â an angry Stelter scolded the reporter. âDonât you dare act like newsrooms didnât have ethics in 2017 and 2018!â
âYou can âdonât dareâ me all you want, Brian,â Ferrechio responded. âIâve been doing this for 30 years, so say whatever you want. Itâs my view, and I have a right to say it.â
âI didnât discard the Mueller stuff,â she later added. âI was much more skeptical because I knew the sourcing, and I knew where it came from on Capitol Hill, where I have stood in the building for the past few decades,â she said. âI had real reason to doubt that stuff, and I constantly did, and it turned out a lot of it was a bunch of bunk.â
âI think everybody deserved to look at the Mueller stuff, and everyone should look at this and give Biden the scrutiny,â Ferrechio said. â ⊠Heâs not running for president of the Glee Club; heâs running for President of the United States, and this is serious.â

.@susanferrechio destroys Stelter in this interview. When she challenged the media on ethics, Stelter fumed, âDonât you dareâ twice.
